Structural Analysis

In addition to rapid prototyping, we also offer finite element analysis (FEA) which can help to evaluate the strength of individual component designs prior to manufacture, any necessary changes to the design required to improve the strength of components so they can pass the relevant BS/ANSI/BIFMA tests can be finalised before the components are manufactured.

This in conjunction with the rapid prototyping service can combine to significantly reduce tooling costs and lead times as it helps to avoid any modifications of tooled components for either aesthetic, functional or structural purposes.
