CMS's Wood factory obtains Chain of custody

As from the 1st April 2009 our wooden products supplier was awarded Chain of Custody.

CMS are now looking into our chain of custody however to assist us with our certification we need to have historical records of us requesting, receiving and storing FSC certified products, until we have certification we are not able by law to state on our documents (Invoices / delivery notes) that the product is FSC, although our suppliers intention is to stamp all FSC products (although this is not a mandatory requirement but one carried out by choice).

The products that our factory supplies to us can be of 2 different FSC labels – FSC 100% & FSC mixed sources:

FSC 100% label: Products carrying the 100% FSC label come only from well-managed forests that have met FSC’s high social and environmental standards.

FSC mixed sources: Products with a Mixed Sources label support the development of responsible forest management worldwide. The wood comes from FSC-certified well-managed forests, recycled material and/or controlled wood which come from non-controversial sources.
